Websites

A website that turns local searches into enquiries

Your website is built to turn the people who find you on Google into enquiries, with your latest reviews on every page and a clear way to get in touch. It is designed for the phone in your customer's hand, written in plain English, and looked after by us once it is live.

What a local business website has to do

When someone needs a plumber, a hairdresser or a garage, they usually start on Google, compare a few names and contact the one that looks most trustworthy and easiest to reach. In that moment your website has three jobs.

Help you be found. Your site and your Google Business Profile tell the same clear story, so people searching nearby can see exactly what you do and where you work.

Give people a reason to trust you. Recent reviews, real photographs and plain English show a visitor that you are established, busy and good at what you do.

Make getting in touch effortless. Most people decide on a phone, so calling, booking or sending an enquiry should take a single tap from any page.

From your first conversation to a site that is looked after

You give us the essentials and approve the result. We do the design, the writing and the care once it is live.

Businesses, customers and figures shown are examples for illustration.

Six things every site we build does well

Every site is built to the same standard, whichever service it comes with.

  • 1

    Built for the phone first

Most of your customers will find you on a phone, so we design for the small screen first and test every page on one before it goes live.

  • 2

    Quick to load

Lean pages and properly sized images keep the site fast. That matters to impatient visitors, and Google measures it too.

  • 3

    Your reviews, shown live

Your latest Google reviews appear on the site and update automatically, so every visitor sees fresh, genuine feedback.

  • 4

One tap to call, book or enquire

Your number sits on every page, with a short enquiry form and booking links where they fit, so getting in touch takes a moment.

  • 5

    Ready to be found

Each service has its own page, written around what people search for, and your details match your Google Business Profile exactly.

  • 6

Written and looked after for you

We write the words with you and host the site securely. When your services or prices change, you tell us and we update it.

The pages we usually build

Most local business sites need five or six pages, each with a specific job. The exact set is agreed with you at the brief.

  • Home

What you do, where you work and how to reach you, with your latest reviews.

  • Services

A page for each main service, answering the questions people ask before they call.

  • Reviews

Your Google reviews in one place, kept up to date automatically.

  • About

Who you are, how long you have been trading and the area you cover.

  • Contact

Your number, your hours, a short enquiry form and a map.

What we need from you

Your logo if you have one, a sentence or two about each service, some photographs of your work, your contact details and opening hours, and the area you cover. We write everything else and show it to you before it goes live.

Already have a website?

You may not need a new one.

If your current site already works well, we keep it and add what it is missing: a live display of your Google reviews and clear click-to-call details.

Your assessment includes an honest view of whether your existing site is worth keeping, improving or replacing, and we will tell you if it is already doing its job.

Built for independent local businesses

Our websites are for owner-run businesses whose customers find them on Google and then pick up the phone or book. They suit you if you have no website yet, if your current site no longer works well on a phone, or if the person who built it has become hard to reach, and you would rather leave the site to someone who looks after it.

£195 a month for 12 months, then the website is yours

No large build fee up front. After twelve months the website belongs to you: move it to another host or domain whenever you like, or let us carry on hosting, securing and updating it for £95 a month. If you take reputation management or Google Business Profile management, a professional website is included in that monthly fee.

Questions business owners ask about their website

Is the website really included in the monthly fee?

Yes. When you take reputation management or Google Business Profile management, a professional website is part of what you pay for each month, with no separate build fee. We build it, host it and look after it as part of the service.

How much is a website on its own?

A website on its own is £195 a month for the first twelve months, with no large build fee up front. After that the site is yours, and ongoing hosting and support is £95 a month if you would like us to keep looking after it.

What happens after the first twelve months?

The website becomes yours. You can move it to a different host or domain whenever you choose, and we will help with the handover. If you would rather not think about it, we continue to host, secure and update it for £95 a month.

Do I own the website?

Yes. When you take a website on its own, it is £195 a month for the first twelve months and then it is yours to keep. If your website comes with one of our £295 services, we confirm the ownership arrangement in writing before you sign up. Your business name, your words and your photographs are always yours.

What happens to my website if I stop the service?

We explain what happens on leaving before you start, so you can make the decision with the full picture. We would much rather you stay because the service is working than because leaving is difficult.

Can I use my existing domain name?

In most cases, yes. If you already have a domain, we can point it at your new site, with access to wherever it is registered or help from whoever looks after it. If you have lost track of who holds your domain, which is more common than you might think, we will help you find out.

Will my email still work?

Your email and your website are usually set up separately, even when they share a domain name. When we connect your domain to the new site we leave your email settings as they are, and we check with you before making any change that could affect them.

Can I make changes after the site is live?

Yes. When your services, prices or hours change, you tell us and we update the site for you. We will agree with you how changes are requested and how quickly they are made.

How long does it take to build?

We confirm the timescale with you at the brief, before work starts. Most of the time depends on how quickly your photographs and details reach us, so a business that has them ready can be live quickly.

Do you write the content?

Yes. You give us a sentence or two about each service and we write the pages in clear, natural English. You read and approve every word before the site goes live.

What if I do not have good photographs?

Photographs of your own work are the most convincing thing a local business site can show, and most phones now take perfectly good ones. We will tell you what to photograph and how, and we will not present stock images of strangers as your team or your customers.

Will the site help me appear on Google?

Every site is built with the basics search engines look for: a page for each service, clear headings, your trading area and details that match your Google Business Profile. No one can honestly promise a particular position on Google, but a well-built site, a well-kept profile and a steady flow of reviews all work in your favour.

Where is the site hosted, and is it secure?

We host the site for you on a secure connection and keep it up to date, so you do not need to arrange hosting separately. After the first twelve months you can move it elsewhere, or we can carry on looking after it for £95 a month.

Will it work for customers with disabilities?

We build with clear headings, readable text, good colour contrast and descriptions for images, so the site is easier for everyone to use, including people who use screen readers or larger text. If you have particular requirements, tell us at the brief.

Can you move my existing website across?

We usually rebuild rather than copy an old site, because it lets us fix the problems that held it back. We bring across the content that still serves you well, such as your service descriptions and photographs, and we will tell you at your assessment if your current site is better kept as it is.

Can customers book appointments or pay online?

Booking links can be built into the site for appointment-based businesses, and our AI employees can take bookings by chat or phone if you would like that too. If you need a full online shop, tell us at your assessment and we will be honest about whether our sites are the right fit.

I have more than one location. Can you help?

Yes, tell us at your assessment. We will talk through how best to present each location so customers find the one nearest to them.

Do your prices include VAT?

We confirm how VAT applies to your price in writing before you commit to anything. Your free assessment carries no charge and no obligation.

Do I need a new website to use your other services?

No. If your current site works well, we keep it and add the review display and click-to-call details. A new website is there if you want one, not a condition of the service.

What does the free assessment involve?

We look at your current website and your Google presence and give you a short, clear view of what would make the most difference first. There is no payment and no commitment.
